8th International Tourism Studies Association (ITSA) Biennial Conference

Sep 3, 2020

8th ITSA Biennial Conference is a forum for exchanging research ideas and practices in tourism.

This is the second time that the conference will be held in Indonesia and thus it provides a unique opportunity to meet, and develop networks with academics and researchers from around the world. This event is co-hosted and organized by Universitas Pancasila and James Cook University Singapore.

With delegates from many countries gathering and discussing topics within the theme of Culture, People, and Technology – the Driving Forces for Tourism Cities, this is your best opportunity to present your work, distribute information, and meet with academics and researchers with similar or various research interests.

The conference is postponed to December 2020 due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.

Following our earlier announcement on the postponement of the 8th International Tourism Studies Association (ITSA) Biennial Conference to December 2020. We are looking forward to your participation in the conference, which will be held in hybrid format (online and on site) on December 2, 2020.

We are aware of the impact of COVID-19 on travel, accommodation and meeting, but we want to make sure every participant will benefit from the conference. Therefore, we will stream the opening and panel sessions of keynote and invited speakers online, and organize online parallel sessions. For on site participation in Jakarta, we will follow all official requirements and health protocols with care to ensure a safe and enjoyable conference.
