From Our Dean

Welcome to the Faculty of Tourism, Universitas Pancasila, Jakarta, Indonesia.
Tourism, as one of the fastest growing industries in the world, is
significant for Indonesian economy. The expected continuous
growth of tourism in the country should be matched by the availability of quality human resources capable of managing tourism industries, attractions, and destinations. The need for quality human resources in tourism-related field underpins the important role of tourism education institution.
The Faculty of Tourism, Universitas Pancasila, was established in November 2008, as one of Indonesia’s first education institutions offering a Bachelor of Tourism program. Our program lies within the academic pathway in the context of two types of degrees recognized by the Indonesian Government for the study of tourism (academic Bachelor and professional/vocational Bachelor). We aim to contribute to the development of tourism in Indonesia through our education, research,and community service activities. We strive to educate our students to become graduates with sound managerial skill, a good knowledge of tourism industry’s sub sectors: hospitality, travel, Meeting Incentive Convention Exhibition (MICE) & Events, and tourists attractions, as well as analytical and research skills. Through our study program, we emphasize on producing future tourism and hospitality professionals; destination planners, managers, and marketers; tourism academics, researchers and consultants, ready to work in this vibrant industry and to develop tourism industries and destinations across Indonesia.
