ATRA Board Meeting and 12th ATRA Tourism Forum

The Faculty of Tourism, Universitas Pancasila, hosted the 12th ASEAN Tourism Research Association (ATRA) Tourism Forum as well as ATRA Board and General Annual Meetings. This event was held on March 16 2023, at Universitas Pancasila, Jakarta.

ATRA is an association consisting of higher education institutions that focuses on education and research in the fields of tourism and hospitality. This year, the ATRA Tourism Forum raised the theme ‘ASEAN Connectivity: Going Forward with Tourism’. The 12th ATRA Tourism Forum aims to discuss the role of tourism in increasing connectivity between communities, institutions and nations.

The seminar began with a welcome speech delivered by Mrs.Dra.Diennaryati Tjokrosuprihatono M.Psi., Psychologist, Vice Rector for Cooperation, Public Relations and Legal, as a representative from the university, which was then continued with remarks from the President of ATRA, Prof. Dr. Neethiahnanthan Ari Ragavan. The keynote speech was delivered online by Dra.Yulia, MT, Director of Inter-Institutional Relations, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Other invited speakers were Dr Pornpisanu Promsivapallop  (Prince of Songkla University, Thailand), Dr Jenny Panchal (James Cook University, Australia), Dr Agoes Tinus (Ciputra University, Surabaya), and Mr Khoo Hock Aun (Green Renewable Organic World (GROW) Centre Sdn Bhd, Malaysia).
